Bruno Ribeiro

I am an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo. I received my degree of Master of Fine Arts in design with a specialization in college and university teaching from The Ohio State University in the spring of 2012. As a researcher, my focus is on interaction and motion design.

I hold an MBA in marketing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV (Rio de Janeiro) and a Bachelor of Science in both visual communication and industrial design, from Escola Superior de Desenho Industrial – ESDI (Rio de Janeiro).

I am also the Director of Community Outreach for West Coast Initiatives at Design Incubation. If you want to host one of our events in this of the country, feel free to contact me.

I have recently published on Design and Culture, a book review of Michael Bierut’s How to Use Graphic Design to Sell Things, Explain Things, Make Things Look Better, Make People Laugh, Make People Cry, and (Every Once in a While) Change the World. I have 50 free online copies of the article, in case you want to read it.
